How long does it take for COVID-19 symptoms to appear?

It may take up to 14 days or two weeks for someone who has been exposed to COVID-19 to show symptoms of infection. Because it is so difficult to determine who is infected before they show symptoms, that is why wearing cloth face coverings or isolating yourself for 14 days after a possible exposure is so important to reduce the risk to our families and the community.
