Many minority communities of color have been disproportionately affected by the current COVID-19 pandemic, including the Filipino American community. With the rapidly-evolving approval and availability of COVID-19 vaccines, an examination of the barriers to care for the Filipino American community in the context of COVID-19 vaccines is needed. We are asking for your help on this important matter. During the month of May, Tayo will be launching a national survey aimed to better understand the FilAm experience with COVID-19 vaccines - MAGPABAKUNA na Tayo! (Measuring And Gathering Data on Pilipino/a/x American Behaviors, Attitudes, and Knowledge Understanding the novel CoronAvirus Vaccines).

Currently, there is a public health need for disaggregated data on Asian American subgroups, which are not being collected systematically at the national or state level. This survey is the first-ever national survey of attitudes towards vaccines among the Filipino American population in the U.S..
