The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends for everyone 6 months of age and older to get a flu vaccine each year by the end of October.

You and your child can get a flu vaccine during healthcare visits, at a pharmacy, or at these additional locations.

Getting a flu vaccine reduces the likelihood of you or your child getting sick, being hospitalized, and dying from the flu. When your family gets a flu vaccine, you are also protecting others around you who may be more vulnerable to severe illness from flu, such as young children, pregnant women, older adults, and those with pre-existing medical conditions that weaken their immune system. 

During this flu season, it is especially important to get a flu vaccine in order to help you and your family healthy. In doing so, you are also helping your local health care provider focus their capacity on treating those who are experiencing severe illness from COVID-19.
