Do I have to cover my face when I leave my house?

Covering your nose or mouth when you are in public or private spaces in contact with people you do not live with can slow the spread of COVID-19 because individuals can be contagious before the onset of symptoms.

Using a face covering protects others from your respiratory droplets. Very few people are exempt from wearing a cloth face covering in Los Angeles including children under the age of 2, those with breathing difficulties, or those instructed not to use one by a medical provider.
