Is it safe to use a swimming pool?

According to the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there is “no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of recreational waters.” Both on water and on land, please adhere to 6-feet social distancing and wear waterproof face coverings, if possible.

If you plan to use a swimming pool, CDC guidance is as follows:

  1. Limit close contact with people outside your household if using public pools and other water facilities as well as lakes
  2. Adhere to safe swimming practices and daily hygiene practices
