According to the World Health Organization (WHO), sunlight does not kill SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Exposing your mail to sunlight does not properly disinfect them.

What’s more, exposure to the sun or temperatures higher than 25°C/77°F will not protect you from COVID-19. Even if it is sunny or hot, you can catch COVID-19.
