For example, in Canada, shelters have stayed open during COVID19 lockdown, with the provinces of Quebec and Ontario deeming shelters as essential services. The Canadian government has also allocated $50 million to support these shelters.

In Spain, a geolocation messaging service features a chat room that offers psychological support for survivors.

In Colombia, officials passed a decree to ensure continued access to vital services virtually including legal advice and other justice services.
