What mental health resources specific to LA are available to help me cope during COVID-19?

If you or someone you know is having difficulty coping with the added stress, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) can provide additional support at any time.

Call 800-854-7771 or visit DMH.LACounty.gov

LACDMH has partnered with Headspace, an app that offers users a collection of mindfulness and meditation resources, to provide support and resources during this challenging time. Through 2020, users currently located in Los Angeles can sign up for their services for free and access to hundreds of science-backed guided meditations in English and Spanish, as well as movement and sleep exercises to help manage stress, fear and anxiety related to COVID-19. You can sign up here.

LACDMH is also a part of PsychHub’s COVID-19 Mental Health Resource Hub, which is dedicated to providing free resources to help people address their mental health needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, 211 LA has compiled a list of mental health resources ranging advocacy and patient health, treatment, substance use treatment, hotlines and crisis, conditions and disorders, substance use facilities, counseling and support groups, mental health evaluations, and mental health facilities.
